Christie has deep experience representing clients in dispute resolution in areas of litigation related to family matter, land matters, corporate matters, landlord and tenant disputes, bankruptcy and winding up matters, construction disputes and other related commercial matters.
Notable Accomplishments & Transactions
Successfully represented a Managing Partner of a major accounting firm against MRT Corporation for claims for nuisance and negligence due to land acquisition for the construction work of MRT Project.
Assisted in a matter against a local government body with respect of a claim of compensation and injurious affection for compulsory land acquisition before the Land Administrator, High Court and Appellate Court. Claims in excess of RM 60 million.
Advised a Danish green technology client for legal advisory and strategy for renewable energy framework and business in Malaysia.
Assisted in a matter against a highly diversified large property development company with regards to a claim for Liquidated Ascertained Damages for the late delivery of property.
Assisted in a matter against one of Malaysia’s largest motor and leading general insurance company with regards to an insurance claim in the millions for a Ferrari car accident.
Assisted in a matter involving a C-level executive client against one of the largest Investment Bank in Malaysia and a federal statutory body in relation to a claim in the millions for employee’s contribution fund paid from employee’s incentive.
